Mother filed a Caveat in the High Court of Bombay in Testamentary Petition filed by her son in law stating that she has right in her Deceased Daughter’s property which was rejected by the Hon’ble High Court on the ground that “Mother i.e. Caveatrix not being class I heir of the Deceased Daughter had no locus to file caveat”. Mother filed an Appeal which too was rejected on the similar ground.

Mother has filed Writ in the Supreme Court challenging the Constitutional validity of Section 15 of Hindu Succession Act which is presently being heard by the Full Bench of the Supreme Court.
