An Executor is the person who steps into the shoes of the Testator after his demise. He is appointed by the testator to dispose of his estate in accordance with his wishes, as enumerated in the Will.

Upon the death of a person all his property devolves upon his legal representative i.e. the executor.

The role of an executor is to apply in the court for grant of Probate or Letters of Administration. Dispose of the estate of the deceased as he intended in his Will. An executor is liable to disclose the accounts to the court, notifying that he has disposed of the estate of the deceased person in accordance with the wishes of the deceased testator, as enumerated in the Will.
